From 1964-1973 approximately 270 million bombs were dropped on Laos by the USA. An estimated 80 million failed to detonate. Village Artisans in Laos melt down this war scrap and re cast the aluminium bomb casings into beautiful Peace Bangles, providing sustainable income for the metal workers and contributes to the development of the community. Loom Designs donates $1 from the sale of each piece to Cope Laos, rehabilitating UXO survivors.
